Boaz Balachsan

"I'm inspired by people I work with, communities I live within and places I travel to. My dream has always been to playfully integrate the disciplines of visual arts, design, storytelling and music into my work and by doing that give a form to the form-less".

Boaz Balachsan is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Israel. Fascinated by the human condition and its connection with nature, Boaz likes to create work that invokes empathy and still allows plenty of room for interpretation. A graduate of the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, and the co-creator of Midburn and the Fugara Collective his work exhibits bright and playful ideas through fascinating characters, imaginary Flora, and geometric patterns, all of which are inspired by folktales, philosophy, and his personal experiences.

Boaz is currently based in Berlin, where he co-founded the Werkstatttraum collective, now working as a part of the IMRSV crew where he continues to showcase his talent for beautifully stylized ideas through various mediums such as illustration, graphic design, street art, and animation. His animated works have been screened in many festivals around the world and received numerous awards.
